How to Wash Your Icekap Cool Cap

Proper care of your Icekap Cool Cap will help maintain its effectiveness and extend its lifespan.

Follow these simple washing instructions to keep your cap in optimal condition:

Before Washing

  • Remove gel packs from your Cool Cap
  • Keep Velcro straps attached to the cap. This ensures the straps do not get caught in the washing machine.
  • Double Check pockets and loops to ensure all gel packs have been removed. There are 5 Gel Packs in a Cool Cap.

Washing Instructions

  1. Machine Settings
    • Use DELICATE cycle only
    • Select COLD water temperature
    • Enable EXTRA RINSE option if available
  2. Detergent
    • Use mild/gentle laundry soap
    • Dosage Guide:
      • 1 Cool Cap: Use ¼ of regular detergent amount
      • 2 Cool Caps: Use ½ of regular detergent amount
      • 3 Cool Caps: Use ¾ of regular detergent amount

Drying Instructions

DO NOT put in dryer or iron

  • Lay flat to dry on:
    • A drying rack
    • A clean towel on the counter
  • Ensure good air circulation for faster drying

Important Reminders

⚠️ Never wash the gel packs in the washing machine.

  • You can wipe these down with a mild detergent and cloth if needed.

⚠️ Never put your Cool Cap in the dryer

⚠️ Never iron your Cool Cap

⚠️ Always use cold water

Storage After Washing

Once completely dry:

  • Reinsert gel packs into the Cool Cap
  • Store in a cool, dry place. Ideally your freezer inside of a freezer bag
ready to go when you need it. The freezer bag helps prevent absorbing
